Hi,

  I think this is a problem unique to you. I haven't seen that problem
anywhere else. You can try this for the time being:

1. Open [ System > Preferences > Startup applications ] and make sure
that 'Network Manager' is selected. If not, select it and re-login.

2. If that doesn't solve it, open a command terminal and try command
'nm-applet' . If it throws any error, please post it here.
