One thing is there should be standardisation in linux.  It is the base of
all.  But it appears that slightly linux is deveating from standardisation.
For example the configuration file formats and directories are differenet on
different distros.  Commercial linux clones have thereown view about this.
But the one supporting FOSS should be standardised.
      The main draw back which appears to the general people is the display
problem.  It is because of the lot options of configurations, common people
don't like it.  Nobody even the FOSS team is well versed with the display
issues (in all distros).  GUI is not the power of linux.  But for a common
man it is.  There should be wide presentations and classes regarding the
usage of X so that anyone with the above spirit can easily manage themselves
the problems of display
