There is one easy way to get videos in Ubuntu. When you stream online
videos, they are temporarily stored in the /tmp folder under File
System. All that you need to do is open the video in YouTube which you
want to download and pause it and let it stream completely. Once
streaming is complete, go to the /tmp folder. There you will find the
video file with some weird name. Copy it from there to another
location and bingo! you have the video with you.

Dont forget to copy the video because if you happen to close the video
window without copying, the temporary file will be deleted.
