For such problems can we use clonezilla? I'm not sure about that, but it
copies bit by bit from a drive to another. In that case no need to think
about grub, right? And if you like to maintain a document about possible
disaster management, what if we make it a document with public contribution?
Just host it somewhere (eg: google-docs) and invite collaborators.
