As far as I could remember, Karmic was released on 29th October, & the download link was available for eastern countries like India in the afternoon, not morning. Which means it was almost 30th when we got Karmic. Usually parties are held a day before the event, I doubt that we could get hands on a copy at that moment.
If we are planning after the release (in this case April 29th evening) we might be able to get a copy. Or perhaps we should use a beta release.
