Hi Prasanth,
    Have you tried debian squeeze (Latest version of debian)? Of my friends
who has problem with ubuntu on laptops have no problem with debian. Please
try that and reply. If you want debian DVD, you can buy from
zyxware.comonline or from their office at Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.

    GNU/Linux is developed by people like ourselves. If you want, you can
fix the problem yourself or seek the help of another person, so that whole
community benefits.
