The contents of your github repo will be open to the public. The option of
having a private repo is only open to premium users. But the contents
cannot be modified by others except the ones you've made Collaborators and
the Admin himself. Your repository can be 'forked' i.e. copied to others
account, and there they can modify it there however, your contents will
remain unchanged. Other users, can send patches (modifications) which will
only be reflected in your repository if you (i.e. the Admin or
collaborators) accept the patches that they send.
