The Republican Party, by mistake, seems to have made some sensible comments, though still not in public, about the so-called "Intellectual Property" rights. For instance, it points out that the "three myths are, in order, that “the purpose of copyright is to compensate the creator of content,” that “copyright is free market capitalism at work,” and that “the current copyright legal regime leads to the greatest innovation and productivity.” Hope this will eventually lead to some changes there, and, consequently, in the rest of the world.
