Dear friends, I am trying to configure a Netgear wifi router sith my Asianet cable modem. Whatever I have tried, I get an "Authentication failure" message when I try to connect to the wifi. My configuration has been like this:
Security Options: WEP Authentication type: Automatic Encryption strength: 64 bit Passphrase: Mypassword After entering all this, I click "Generate" and then "Apply". But then if I try to connect my phone, it says, "Authentication Error". My laptop also does not connect when I give the password. Tried all possible authentication types, namely, Automatic, Open System and Shared Key. None of them seems to work. Am I doing something wrong? Or could this mean that the router is spoilt? Requesting help from anyone who has some idea about this problem. Thanks for any help. Regards, Sasi -- V.
