>its happening in all the TTP. The staff's only argument is, "why we want to >learn a topic from out of syllabus". Still FOSS is an elective paper. They >will not take it as seriously until it will be one of the main subject in >their curriculum.
Target the students.. they cant ignore, as it enhances the career.. Two years before, i tried approaching the HOD of a college.. But, there was not much response, as the information is not clearly conveyed.. (rather the opportunity does not arise).. Now, from the same college, i have formed a 4 member team.. who are very much interested.. I took some efforts on my own initially to teach the basic.. Now, they used to call me often for any help and i am relaxed.. And when we have a set of team listening us (whether its student or lecturers), we can then direct them to the source of learning.. The underlying motto is "Give only when they seek.. " .. but for that, we need to create the interest in them.. So, in the next conference, the students can also be invited along with the faculties..
