What is the error message you get? Can you run the Live CD? Have you checked
the media for errors? What is the stage where Ubuntu stops on the laptop?
I haven't tried running the live cd.
When I try to install, it says copying files and the process freezes.
Had a similar problem when I tried to install Mandriva from LFY. There
was an error message which I don't remember now.
Will try to install Ubuntu once again and get back to the list with more
information.
