What is the filesystem? ext3 or reiserfs or windows filesystems?

Is the hard disk is detected in bios?

More chances are there to recover the data.

There are a lot of tools available in linux to recover the data.

In most of the times, a simple boot with a live cd and mount the drives will
recover all the data.

give here the details of the filesystem and crash history.
let us try.
