Hi, My computer, started crashing pretty frequently, after installation of Ubuntu 8.10. The question I want to know is, what logs do I read to figure out what exactly went wrong? I know this is pretty ambiguous, so here are some more details.
I've already checked out kern.log, syslog, dmesg logs, daemon logs. Nothing seems suspicious. Clipped version is here :- http://pastebin.com/md487ccc My hardware config:- http://pastebin.com/m130ac839 I think the possibility could be pidgin and/or gnome-do (cause i've enabled a number of plugins which came with it), and am currently logging it in debug mode, just in case.... I'm not expecting anyone to solve the problem for me here, just want notice on how to proceed, what to look out for..?
