Looks like you have installed WinXP on a logical partition.  IIRC, all 
MS OSs likes to install on the first partition of the first disk and 
that partition has to be a primary partition.   I think this has to do 
with the way DOS used to assign partition labels C: D: etc ...

You can try hiding the other partitions and see if it helps.
