>From last friday my BSNL ADSL modem was not switching on, I reported to
BSNL and they replaced my ADSL modem, now when I try to connect through
ethernet port, nothing happening, not even the lights blinking in my laptop.
But linux detecting the ethernet device properly and loaded 'forcedeath'
driver.
I checked the new BSNL ADSL modem in with my friend's laptop, it worked
without any problem.
is my ethernet card gone? will linux(or any OS) detect a faulty device?
do I need to replace it? if that is the case, how to replace it? what
all problem will occur if I want to replace my ethernet card?
Regards,
Mohan R.
