Hi,
How to inset page numbers in Open Document Text.

I am new to Ubuntu OS. For the past one Month I am using Ubuntu OS in
My computer in our office. We have decided to install in all our
computers. Our stenographers are trained in MS Office. They do not
understand open office. Any one who has key shortcuts, please send it
to me. So I can canvass them with the keyboard shortcuts.

If your office staff is trained to use MS Office then I am sure they know how to use the menus in each application.

OpenOffice is no different in that respect. The menu items are there and if you navigate along each item you will see the options under each item. I would *strongly* suggest that at least one person in your office note down and note down the common things that your office staff does and tabulate those actions in two columns a) OpenOffice and b) MS Office. This way your staff will be able to relate their MSO actions ot OpenOffice readily. Give your office staff a short demo on the common aspects of the word processing/spreadsheet.

Also, visit http://support.openoffice.org/ for docs/tutorials on the OO apps.

Specifically to your question regarding page numbering - in OO Writer Menu "Insert>Fields>Page Number" should do the trick for you.
