First of all please put in a meaningful subject line. All queries are **urgent** to the OP - without a meaningful subject line your OP may get ignored. Back to your query - Yes, after installing XP make an image of the base OS (man tar) and save it some place that is not accessed by windows. To do it you will have to boot with a LiveCD. Alternately, you can reinstall GRUB into the MBR of your boot disk. Variants of this question have been asked in many many forums and I might add repeatedly. Please do Google search and I am sure you will find a step-by-step instructions on the very first page: HTH <http://lmgtfy.com/?q=reinstall%20grub%20from%20live%20cd> -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
