The access to the DVR system is SOLVED. Thanks to all for giving helpful suggestions. Last evening, just for the heck of it, I booted my laptop with Windows XP, started Firefox and tried to connect to the DVR box (from one of the ext_IP in the DNAT ruleset). Lo behold, I got a pop up window for username/password. Entered the same and was prompted to install QuickTime plugin. I also had to download Quick Time. After installing QuickTime and FF plug-in, I was able to connect to the DVR system, select the camera and view the respective coverage. The DNAT fw rule is OK. >From my openSUSE 11.2 Linux desktop (same subnet as WinXP laptop), I still get the "400 Bad Request" error. Tried from an Ubuntu desktop (10.04 + FF) and it is able to login into to the DVR but it was not able to play the QuickTime stream (a separate problem). The bottom line -- the problem is with my openSUSE 11.2 desktop setup :( -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
