it works for my fedora behind squid proxy

# The proxy server - proxy server ip or FQDN :port number
proxy=http://mycache.mydomain.com:3128
# The account details for yum connections if auth required else skip
below 2 lines
proxy_username=yum-user   //username
proxy_password=qwerty     //password
