Very few journalists have any clue what they are talking about when it comes to free software. lwn.net, glyn moody, ryan paul and a couple of others. Rest of them, will hype and mislead just to get more hits and ad revenue. Verify the sources. Go to official websites or talk to the people involved. Wayland is in the repo for several distributions. It is far from ready to be default for any distro yet. It will take atleast 6 months to an year more.
