Hi, I am using ubuntu 11.04 in my home desktop. Is it necessary that firewall should be active inorder to avoid hack? I heard that we will not be given static ip address, only paid one will get static ip address that can be used for webserver implementation. If my system doesnt have static address then can others access my system?
