There is an Android port for x86 hardware (Intel and AMD CPUs) at
http://android-x86.org/. Those who wanted to try Android but did not buy a
tablet or smartphone can try this in your PCs. I installed it along with my
Linux Mint and windows installation. I had some problems after installation
but the community is quite responsive. They provided answers to my queries
and now I am able to boot and use it from my hard disk. Only current issue
is ethernet support is not available in the CD provided (there are patches
that provide this support queued up in the git repository). If network
support comes I will be switching mostly to Android. Android ICS is
available for download now. Hope this helps some one :).
