 Three cheers for Girish! I am one of the low level varieties benefiting from 
the write in,
grappling with it still. Switched to Linux when my PIII stopped playing along 
with Windows upgrades,
no complaints at all!!
By console based IM, I meant something like 'talk' on a wider scale! Regards et 
al!!!
