Hi,

I am experiencing a problem with my Seagate 1TB usb external harddisk.
When I try to connect to my Ubuntu 12.04, it is not getting detected.
I see the following messages in syslog.

>
>Oct 19 16:36:31 vijay-pc kernel: [17279.868031] usb 1-5: new high-speed USB

At this point, the system tries to spinup the disk, but the usb
eventually disconnects.

Hard disk does not get detected in Fedora 16 as well.

Has anyone faced this issue ?
Could anyone direct me to any usb debug software in Linux?

Thanks
Vijay
