If you buy a laptop preloaded with Windows 8, the hard disk will be
partitioned as GPT and the BIOS will be an UEFI one.

1. Format your entire hard disk and install Windows 8 on your own with 2
partitions (one for OS and one for Data)

2. Keep the remaining space in your hard disk as unpartitioned space.

3. Install the UEFI supported linux flavour the left space.

4. Now you can select Linux/Windows on boot time.
