Here are the official blog posts on this matter from a couple of days back. 1. Beware of hacked ISOs if you downloaded Linux Mint on February 20th! - http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2994 2. All forums users should change their passwords. - http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3001 It looks like they didn't provide GPG signed checksums for the official ISO images like a lot of other distributions do.
