NB: This doc is not going to teach you linux. Only you
can teach yourself linux. What this doc does tell you
is how to get started.
I've seen a lot of newbies post to this list questions
like will you help me learn linux or will linux help
me do something...In fact, practically every IRC
channel and mailing list is faced with this..
This is for everyone who's had questions in his/her
mind about Linux, and especially the mailing list.
These emails arent really responded to, and i'll
explain why.

1) The list consists of over 700 active members , who
send and recieve email related to linux, and generally
remain in touch. A question as generic as the one
above cant be answered, beacuse Linux is a *huge*
field, and no single person has the time to answer
such queries.
--So, ask specific questions. Read the Mailing list
etiquette at www.linux-india.org
2) Read everything you can find before you post your
questions. Most people on IRC's or lists tend to be
xenophobic towards newbies who ask questions very
easily answered in a number of docs available on the
net. So, unless you like being told to RTFM, do this.
Documents repositories are huge. You can find tons of
papers, ebooks, tutorials, and guides on the web. Use
google to search within them for the topic you want.
