IMHO the users who use such a stupid copy protection system deserve what they get. They clearly bought into marketing hype and definitely didn't verify properly if the claims are valid. It also looks like that this system won't work with newer versions of windows or on windows machines where the user is logged on using a plain user account under windows nt based os.
