My 0.02 Rupees what is the output of "service portmap status" on the CLIENT pc in your case RH 7.3 ? Also what is the output of "service nfs status" on the server RH 8 ? Does the above include a line rpc.rquotad (pid ***) is running??? Triple check the firewalls although according to your previous mail you have already done this on both the client and sever.
