I was checking out some books of Stallman available at Fabmall, and discovered that books like the Bison manual etc. are available for Rs. 1000++!!!

Fabmall is probably just importing the book and charging at the exchange price.

I wonder .. we have a fsf-india which owns the fsf books. Then there are books like Lawrence Lessig's awesome ones, and ESR's ones(I know CATB is being sold, but i dont think magic cauldron is). Why arent there efforts by these organisations to get these books printed in India at reasonable presses? Cant it provide a good source of revenue for these organisations?

Maybe we can organize small prints of these books? Anybody here who has a good idea of any publishers like Lighting Press etc. who publish in small runs?
