I am using Fedora Core at Home. Sound Card is not working. I have dual booted my pc with XP. Its working fine in Win XP. The output of proc file is: Bus 0, Device 8, Function 0: Multimedia Audio Controller : Aurial Semiconductor Vortex2 ( Rev 250) IRQ 10 Master Capable: Legancy =64 , Min Count=4, Max Count=12 Not Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xea8...... i/o at ....... i/o at...... After looking at this output it seems Linux is able to detect my sound card. But during restart following error comes: Saving Mixer Setting Modprobe : modprobe : can't locate module at Sound Slot-0 Aumix : error opening mixer Please advice what to do Thanks and Regards Vineet Arora Customer Support Engineer Computerware (India) Pvt.
