I did 'apt-get update' and it showed that 550 packages were to be upgraded (=308 MB). Great, did 'apt-get upgrade' and went off to sleep. When I woke up after 3 hours, 87% was over and then it got stuck, the reason being that my internet connection was lost.
Now when I again did 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade', it showed me that the same 550 packages were to be upgraded. a) Can't I resume from where I left. b) I found out that apt-get stores its downloaded files in /var/cache/apt/archives and there were 298(=291.3 MB) packages present. The last few lines of 'apt-get update' are : W: Couldn't stat source package list http://non-us.debian.org ./ Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/non-us.debian.org_%7ekitame_mozilla_._Packages) - stat (2 No such file or directory) W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. Even after running 'apt-get update' again, I get the same message. Now what should I do. I first need to download the remaining packages. regards, vijay. -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Send your email first class _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
