Log in as root and start the CUPS service. (I think that can be done by running the command "service cups start" from the command line.) After that start your browser, go to http://127.0.0.1:631/printers and then choose "Add printer". After that you will be guided through the install process using a series of question.


Before starting the install process you will need to know the serial port on which the printer has been plugged in and whether it is a 2 pin or 9 pin printer.

If you are still not able to get it working, why not drop in at the
eSys Office B-65, Okhla Indl Area Phase-1 New Delhi-20 this Sunday with your printer for the LUGD meet. Someone will give you a demo of install process.
