Hello,

I was discussing this with Tarun on IRC and it seems that not many volunteers have come forward for the "Linux in Science" theme. I am putting below a few themes on which we can base our next meet. Feel free to add to it, to become a volunteer speaker for the meet or to flame me.

- Small Linux Distros

- Live CD Distros

- Linux at Home -> Might cover talks on connecting to net. firewall setup, some multimedia tools, browsers , mail clients

- Linux + multimedia -> cover the sound + video +tv cards etc.

- Command line Usage - Tips & Tricks -> about shell scripting, grep, find, mc and other nifty tools

- Make Linux coexist with win -> cover dual booting, samba sharing, printer sharing

So what do you all think ? Are the themes good enough for both the newbies and old folks ? Or will there be speakers for the Linux in science meet ?

hi there,
these alternate themes are definitely gud for newbies like me, i wud request speakers to come forward for these themes.
