My Dear Amit , Please check what the nslookup command states :
" ** server can't find pcq: NXDOMAIN" this means pcq can't be resolved by your name server ( DNS) 100.0.0.1 if you have any confusion check the concept of DNS server and Name Resolution fundamentals. Clue: First of all check whether your server pcq is reachable from host from where you are trying telnet . ping < ip of pcq> Regards, Sumit From: "Amit Sharma" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "The Linux-Delhi mailing list" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, July 12, 2004 12:05 PM Subject: Re: [ilugd] Postfix - help me!!! > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Sumit Malhotra" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "The Linux-Delhi mailing list" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Monday, 12 July, 2004 11:40 AM > Subject: Re: [ilugd] Postfix - help me!!! > > > > Can you resolve pcq ?? > > try "nslookup pcq" on the host from where you are trying to telnet . > > > [snip] > > [snip] > > 'nslookup pcq' shows > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# nslookup pcq > Note: nslookup is deprecated and may be removed from future releases. > Consider using the `dig' or `host' programs instead.
