I have also faced similiar problem. I tar+gzip on RH 7.2 system, ftp in binary mode to solaris 8 or 9 (intel version) running GNU tar, gunzip. Still when I untar on solaris it gives the same problem. On original machine it untars without a hitch. No Solutions from me. Kapil _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
