YOu may need to go to http://www.tldp.org

On this site in the HOWTOS section you will be able to find a document which will provide you with all the spoon feeding you may require. You only have to do the hardwork of searching the appropriate HOWTO and reading it.

Apart from that, if you google on "How to install DB2 on Linux", you will get a number of links which point on the same.

Last but not the least, open the docs folder on your installation CD, and read whats in there. IBM DB2 CD ships with comprihensive documentation for installation and fine tuning.

Hope you have a mouthful of info.

Let me list know of what you achieved after you follow the above 3 steps.
