The entries in the grub.conf should be similar to following:

title Win2k
rootverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
title Win2k3
rootverify (hd0,4)
chainloader +1
************
The partition number, specified after the comma above, should be one
less than the number you have mentioned (/dev/hda1 for win2k and
/dev/hda5 for win2k3).
