Hello, The Indian language OCR project has been approved by SourceForge, and will be located at http://sourceforge.net/projects/aksharbodh, though there is nothing more than an outline there at the moment. I have only added Rahul Bhalerao at the moment (Vivek Khurana, I need your sf.net username), but other people are welcome to join. As mentioned earlier, I will need your SourceForge user ID (use the "Create Account" link at the top of https://sourceforge.net/ if you do not have one already), and a few lines about relevant experience if I do not know you perosnally. Future notices, apart from occasional updates with news of general interest, will be sent only to the project mailing list. I will post some preliminary details to that list by this weekend. Finally, the MCIT is soliciting proposals for some Indian language computing work, including OCR, with proposals due by Feb. 16th. While I personally feel that it is premature to apply for funding for this project, and also will not have any time to work on a proposal, if someone wishes to submit one, this could be discussed.
