Point well taken! Someone's bit of laziness might cause someone's valued
time getting wasted.

I'm using connexant 220bx ethernet modem. In windows it works well, by
getting a static ip (preconfigured with modem say 192.1.1.1) through
DHCP. When I try using the same by configuring my NIC to obtain IP
through NIC (thats how it works in windows) on my FC4, it fails in
getting the ip address, (dmesg shows it actually fails in dhcp stage
itself ). Modem is preconfigured and i could see the configuration
through windows XP. I tried getting my LAN card configured by giving
some static ip to it as well, though my NIC gets configured well it
still fails in connecting to the modem. I tried configuring the through
DSL configuration using system-network-configuration (pls ignore the
typo in command), still it doesn't work. I've gone through the archives
on ilugd site and it didn't help either.

Waiting for ur responses

rgds
Sanjay
