Hi,
Let me guess; you right-click on the file that has been attached and select
"open". When it opens in say word, you edit the contents and click on save. And
voila! you're original file has changed.

Then make another copy of the original file, edit that and send as attachment.
And why does poor Thunderbird get to take the blame? Does it work any
differently in M$ Outlook?
