A meeting was held at BB/3G, DDA flats, Munirka. Present were

1. We decided on the talks accepted for the Freedel event, all
   speakers will be notified soon, and the list of talks will be put
   on the Freedel site.

2. There will be four workshops held during the event:

   (a) FOSS tools in education and research: Andrew Lynn
       This will include Moodle, Edubuntu, terminal servers,
       and collaboration tools suited for the classroom.

   (b) System administration: Designed by Kishore, run by Tirveni
       and others. The emphasis will be on listing Linux equivalents
       for commonly used Microsoft Windows services.

   (c) Localisation and multi-lingual computing: Gora, and others.

   (d) Asterix, the open-source Internet telephony tool: Mitul Limbani.

3. Kishore Bhargava will set up content on the Freedel site for
   2006. Deadline 1/9.

4. Raj Mathur will be mailing out the break-up of estimated expenses.
   Deadline 31/8.

5. Posters for the event will be designed by Kishore Bhargava,
   with input from Andrew Lynn.  Deadline 1/9 evening.

6. Printing of posters will be handled by Andrew Lynn, and Gora
   Mohanty. These will be sent out to educational institutions through
   JNU by 1/9, and the remainder will be handled by Gora by 3/9.

7. Gora will follow up on a potential sponsorship through MAIT.
   Deadline 1/9.

8. Wireless access at JNU will be set up by Kishore Bhargava,
   shortly before the even.

9. Letter to speakers: Raj Mathur. Deadline 1/9.

10. Call for local volunteers to put up out-station participants: Gora.
   Deadline 31/8.

11. Making available Linux distributions on DVD, and repositories for
  syncing laptops, etc.

12. Making badges for speakers (50), volunteers (50), delegates (100),
   and participants (250): Gora Mohanty. Deadline, shortly before the
   event.

13. Next meeting shall be held on Sunday, 3 September at the
   Bio-Informatics Centre, JNU at 4pm.  All contributors are welcome.
