The India Social Forum (wsfindia.org) is being held in Delhi from November 9th to 13th. As infrastructure, ISF is providing a 25-seat cyber cafe (CC) to participants, and a 25-seat media centre (MC) for journalists. We (ILUGD) have the opportunity to set up and manage the CC and the MC for these five days. If we do this, we would need volunteers who could help set up the machines with Linux and be there for the 5 days, to help people use the computers. It's a great opportunity for showcasing Linux in a real-world environment and for meeting interesting people. Volunteers would be paid a reasonable sum for the time they spend manning the CC and the MC. However, there's a down side -- no T-shirts! On the other hand, the work load is likely to be light, and you get free 'net access and time to work on your own projects. The location of ISF is near Lodi Road.
