you have accidently removed your GRUB from the linux/boot partition, but the 1st stage of grub is still there in MBR. if you are just having windows on your laptop now, just boot from the windows installation disc --> select repair option which gives you a command line, & type 'fixmbr' & windows loader is installed in MBR.
