Recently there was a thread about Mandriva being an easy to use, beginner distro. And, I remember "lawgon" writing its not much used by geeks, as it isn't hack friendly? :D In response, let me ask the list, what distros do you recommend for geeks then? Someone who likes to get his hands dirty, and feels happy to do so? What should he/she use?
I don't think I would want a distro that has stupid support, incomplete repos etc, because that's nice for hackers? (Yeah, he will have to solve 12 problems just to boot, and compile everything from source, lol) Suggestions?
