Dear Vijay/list,
Thanks for the swift help,  However, I am sorry to add that in mandriva there 
is no wvdial hence wvdial.conf does not exist.

Despite that i loaded wvdial rpm and tried to configure but same could not be 
activated.

Thanks again for the reference.  I would however appreciate if help could be 
initiated with reference to this.
