Hi Raghav,

You can boot using an installation media (CD/DVD).  For this you may
need to change the boot order in your BIOS.  When presented with the
boot menu (grub or lilo), select repair.  You can then change your
root password at the command prompt.  You may also be able to boot in
single user mode, as root, by appending a single after the image name
on grub or lilo.
