National Institute of Public Finance and Policy wants to revamp its
website. Please see the forwarded mail below. They are open to ideas
about what can be done on the website and the person in charge is
trying to promote FOSS-based solutions in the institutions.

I guess some people on the list who would want to follow up.

Vikas,

Following is a call for proposal to develop a fresh website for NIPFP. Can
you please pass this on to people who are in this business. I need at least
three interested parties to take a decision on whom to give the contract.

*Call for Proposal for Website Design and Implementation*

NIPFP plans to redesign its website (http://www.nipfp.org.in) along the
following lines on a contract basis. In this connection, proposal with
quotation is invited from the interested parties along with at least one
dummy page illustrating a new design of the home page. The decision on the
award of the contract will be based on the quotation and a discussion with
the interested parties. Initial response may be sent by EMail to
chandan at nipfp.org.in

   - Content remains the same as the current website (http://nipfp.org.in)
   but there will some rearrangement of the pages and linkages (for enhanced
   functionality;
   - The site is to be created with a new theme (colors etc) and a new home
   page;
   - The design should be such that maintenance (and updating) of the site
   can be decentralised with some of the pages to be administered by different
   groups/individuals. A tentative list is as follows:

   1. Administration (list of staff with contact details etc, list of
   holidays,  info about faculty, advertisments etc);
   2. Library (its services and various announcements);
   3. Individual Faculty (personal profile);
   4. Publications (including downloadable articles);
   5. Academic Events (announcement of seminar, workshops etc);
   6. Individual Projects (project specific information).
