HP LaserJet 1020 requires a firmware binary to be uploaded to printer everytime it starts. I hope you're aware of this. Two years ago, I ran into a similar problem with the HP LaserJet 1020 on Ubuntu GNU/Linux. I was using HPLIP and IIRC, I'd to download firmware separately. I'm not sure if OpenSuSe provides it or not. But you can download/install the firmware by following the instructions on following website: http://foo2zjs.rkkda.com/ HTH - -- They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. -- Benjamin Franklin, Memoirs of the life and writings of Benjamin Franklin -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.14 (GNU/Linux) iEYEAREDAAYFAkufrTcACgkQHy+EEHYuXnSdawCbBatfjOxygda1ngjHsHHy7bM0 zFsAoMx9rVLtOhRF7Hc5GbOoabPMYlZZ =79OD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Ilugd mailing list Ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
