[snipped] Taking the idea forward, a set of volunteers together worked on creating a hybrid event CommunityHACK.
CommunityHACK is a 48 hours non-stop event scheduled for April 9-10, 2011 at The Shack, Delhi. The event combines 5 activities into a 48 hour sprint of FOSS. The event includes celebration parties for Firefox 4, GNOME 3 and LibreOffice 3.3 Launch. A late celebration of Document Freedom Day (March 30 worldwide), and a continuos overnight sprint of hacking on everything open source - open to participants.
